Hatboro Area YMCA Day Camp

Check out our cool Summer Day Camps at the Hatboro Area YMCA! Hatboro Area YMCA Day Camp programs encourage youngsters to participate in group activities which foster creativity, independence, and a sense of teamwork. The Hatboro Area YMCA Day Camp goal is to help chidlren grow in spirit, mind, and body while enjoying the wonders of the great outdoors. The Hatboro Area YMCA teaches Character Development, HONESTY, CARING, RESPECT, and RESPONSIBILITY in all of their Day Camps.

A $35 non-refundable deposit is due for each camp at the time of registration.

On Site Traditional Camps

Pre-school Camp (Age 3 - 5)

Children ages 3-5 will love the creative and stimulating activities and learning experiences that make this camp enjoyable. As with all our camps, there will be a weekly theme in Preschool Camp, around wich all of the activities will be cen tered. The camp schedule will include two days os swim lessons, arts & crafts, songs, special guest and outside playtime. All campers must be out of diapers and fully toilet trained. Snacks are provided. Location: Hatboro YMCA Preschool House.

Pre-school Extended Camp Care (Age 3-5)

You can add this option to your morning Pre-school camp (Traditional and Gymnastics) to make camp a full day experience. The camp schedule will include activities in the gym, obstacle courses, story time and games. All campers must be out of diapers and fully toilet-trained. Children must bri ng their own lunch.

YMCA Day Camp (Age 6 - 11)

YMCA Day Camp is the opportunity to try new things and make new friends. many of the activities are crafts, drama, skits, games, trips, science and nature and o f course summer FUN! Swimmers ae bused to the Hatboro Area YMCA pool for five da ys of swmming with two days of instruction. Field trips such as local parks and nature centers will be scheduled throughout the summer. Each week of camp is filled with fun and exciting themes. Campers will be placed in groups based on camp ers's ages. Location: Pennypack Elementary School

Camp Trailblazers (Age 12 -15)

YMCA Teen Trailblazer is a great experience for all teens ages 12-15. Teens get the opportunity to learn new leadership skills, make new friends, and gain memories that will last a lifetime. Teen Trailblazer goes on field trips to places such as Dorney Park, White Water Rafting, Hiking, and many others. Location: Hatboro Area YMCA

Sports Camp (Ages 9-12) (Jr. Sports Camp Age 6 - 8)

This co-ed sports and games camp will teach campers the basic rules and skills of a variety of team sports such as flag football, soccer, and baseball, as well as traditional games such as kickball. Campers are transported to the Hatboro YMCA pool for five days of swimming with two days of instruction. Location: Pennypack Elementary School

Extended Camp Care (Age 6 - 15)

Parents are welcome to register their children in our Extended Camp Care program. We provide a variety of games and sports in an indoor (AM care) or outdoor (PM care) setting. Staffed by our Camp Directors and Counselors, your children will have positive role models to interact with on a daily basis. The Extended Camp Care fee enables parents to drop their children off as early as 7 AM and pick them up by 6 PM. Children being signed out after 6 PM will incur a late fee of $1 per minute per child past 6 PM that they are in our care.

On Site Gymnastics and Dance Camps

Gymnastics Camp (Age 6 - 13)

Girls and boys will train in different age/ability groups in the YMCA State of the Art Gymnastics Center. All pieces of apparatus are available for girl's and b oy's gymnastics, including a full spring floor. Safety certified gymnastics staf f will lead the gymnastics camp in a fun, safe and caring environment. Campers o f all ability levels are welcome from beginner to competitive team level. Location: Hatboro Area YMCA Gymnastics Center

Cheerleading Camp (Age 6 - 13)

Enjoy a week filled with learning a variety of cheers, proper stunt and jump techniques, tumbling, and dance. Campers will be grouped by age and ability. Location: Hatboro Area YMCA Gymnastics Center

Youth Dance Camp (Age 6 - 9)

This fun camp teaches campers basic dance steps and the discipline of dance. Campers will create a routine for the end of the week's dance recital. Location: Hatboro Area YMCA Gymnastics Center

Preschool Gymnastics Camp (Age 3 - 5)

Let's Get Healthy Camp (Ages 9-12)

Getting healthy is fun at camp. Learn new and exciting ways to become more physically active. Focus on nutrition, exercise, and makinig healthy choices. Location: Hatboro Area YMCA.

Crafts & Cooking Camp (Age 6 - 12)

What could be more fun than spending a day cooking a crafting? Cooking will give the campers the cooking techniques and kitchen safety to help at home. We have new crafts and healthy recipes for this exciting summer.

Fashion & Design Camp (Ages 9-12)

The fashion industry is an exciting field. This camp will help you learn design and basic sewing techniques. Sewing machines will be provided, but campers may bring their own sewing machines. Location: Hatboro Area YMCA Preschool House.

Fitness Camp (Age 9 - 12)

Our certified YMCA fitness staff will provide a fun, learning experience for your child. Campers will participate in strength training and group fitness classes plus a variety of active games. Campers will have a week of Fitness, Friends an d Fun!

Brain Buster & Science Camp (Ages 6-12)

Summer and science - perfect together. Think outside the box to problem solve! Science projects, games, and swimming. Location: Meet at the Hatboro Area YMCA.

Media Camp (Age 6 - 12)

Have a great week learning to use photo cameras and video cameras. Campers will be filming and photographing many events, including our own campers. They will end the week with a scrapbook of their adventures.

Outdoor Education Camp (Age 6 - 12)

This is a special farm education program for boys & girls. Campers will visit Pennypack Farm & Education Center to work on sustainable agriculture vegetable and poultry farm. Five mornings will be filled with touring, farm chores, gardening , harvesting, farm crafts, fun-filled activities, and being part of a working fa rming operation.

Swimming and Snorkeling Camp (Ages 10-15)

With instruction from Underwater World, campers will learn proper equipment fit and use. Location: Hatboro Area YMCA

Trip Camp (Age 6 - 13)

This camp includes a week of trips to many places like Tubing, Laser tag, Rock climbing, Dorney Park, Bowling and more. Every day we visit a different fun place , come and enjoy a week of adventure! FUN WEEK (Ages 6-12)

This FUN WEEK is the best way to spend the rest of your summer 2009. We have games, crafts, swim time, DDR, Wii, snacks and 2 trips per week. Limited Space

Off Site Specialty Camps

Theater Camp (Age 6 - 12)

Calling all future actors and actresses! In Theater Camp you learn about staging and improvising, create you your own scenery, get imaginative with your costume s, make new friends, and rejoin old ones. A production put on by YOU will be per formed at the end of the week to display all your talent and hard work. FUN guaranteed! Location: Hallowell Elementary School
