The Child Development Center at Rocky Run

The 5,000 square foot indoor center provides affordable, quality, full-day, state certified (DPW) childcare programs for children 13 months to 5 years.  We follow the Y's Way to the Creative Curriculum for preschool that include subjects such as:  Literacy, Science, Math, Social Studies, Art, Technology, Healthy Habits, Physical Education, etc.

School Age Child Care

Kids come first in our Keystone Star One, state licensed Before/After School Care programs offered in Garnet Valley School District.  YMCA Primetime provides care from 7:00 am to the start of school and from school dismissal to 6:00 pm. The YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are the foundation of our curriculum.  A routine day includes supervised homework help, free choice, and planned recreational activities, with time for a snack brought from home.

Kindergarten Wrap Around Program

A YMCA values centered curriculum balances your kindergartner's day at school.  Participation in learning centers, academic enrichment activities, music, drama, cooking, indoor and outdoor games, an early literacy section, and a diversity emphasis, is encouraged daily.

The Bears Kindergarten Wrap Around Program is available at Concord Elementary School.  The morning (AM) session runs from the start of school until the end of lunch and the afternoon session starts at the beginning of lunch and runs through the end of school.  Children needing care before the start or after the end of school should also enroll in the Primetime School Age Child Care Program.

Kid Zone Baby Sitting

Kid Zone is a babysitting service available for member's children ages 3 months to 12 years.  Use of Kid Zone is included with your Youth or Adult & Family Full Privilege Membership.  Time spent in this area is limited to 2 hours per day and parents must remain inside the YMCA while children are in our care.  Space is available on a first come, first served basis during the following hours:

           Monday - Thursday     7:45 AM - 8:30 PM
           Friday                             7:45 AM - 7:00 PM
           Saturday                        7:45 AM - 2:00 PM
           Sunday                         10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Many of our preschool land and water classes have been scheduled with the Group Fitness Classes in mind. 
You can sign your child up for a class during your exercise time.
